We have all done things in life we wish would had not done, but don't destroy a young lady without a hearing. It just might have been an attempt to be funny that backfired. If she tells me that was her intent and now apologizes and recognizes it as a dumb mistake then I say build a bridge and get over it. This young lady may very well be someone that donates her time to help veterans.

A lovely post. It would be nice if this triggered a true emotion of volunteering to help veterans. Her family was dismayed at her actions and she was very chastised. Probably wasn't thinking when she did this and then posted on Facebook. All in all, not a smart way to communicate,

Probably, she will get fired. that's her employers decision. Let's hope this young lady has learned her lesson and goes on to be a productive person in her thoughts and actions.

Sorry, but on this day of thanksgiving, to slander any part of this great country is disturbing to me. We all have opinions, but does that make the other mans opinions wrong? I think not. So I would rather say thank God for all the opinions and positions that make America the wonderful place it is.

Bingo. I want to be on your team. This is the way I try to think about anyone and everyone. When or If they prove me wrong, then I will throw a stone or two, but not before I review ALL the facts.

Here's the problem I have with this 30 year old woman. The fact that she thought this was funny and posted it shows a marked lack of sensetivity and a mean spirit. Yes, you need to have a mean streak to go to the Arlington National Cemetary and make an effort to disrespect those that died in the service of our country. To visit Arlington National Cemetary is extremely moving and this is her take away. But for me the real problem is her job, working with people with disabilities; her mean spirit is not what a non profit organization should represent and she, like it or not, represents her organization who by the way, paid for her to be ignorant and disrepectful. She has owned her mistake but she needs to pay for it as well.

NBC News is reporting the woman in the photo and her friend that took the photo have been fired by their employer, Life.

Praise our public schools and colleges. This is what they are turning out and the sad thing is, we the people, are allowing them to, and paying them with our tax dollars.

The government presently not only pays for their education, it also pays for their books, gives them spending money, a cell phone under certain conditions and then when they DO get fired, pay for and defend them in court and solicit them to sue the guy that fired them !!!!!!!

And it is and will get worse, unfettered !

My public school taught me reading, writing & arithmetic.
My PARENTS taught me what is right & wrong, and that there will always be consequences for my actions.

She has stated she didn't mean to offend anyone and the picture was taken for her own amusement. :ohdear: And then she posted it on Facebook so she could share the fun. How could anyone find this deliberate disrespect amusing?

There in lies the problem, Serenoa. Public schools no longer teach readin' writin' and arithmetic'n and parents no longer teach their children right and wrong and there never are any consequences for anything they do. Mom or Dad or both will be there to defend their little darlin' no matter if their little darlin' is a jerk, stupid or in the wrong.

When schools are graduating students that can not read, write or do math, something is wrong with our education system.

When you see a child acting like an obnoxious brat you look at the parent! When that parent is paying NO attention to the child and/or telling him that he MAY go to "time-out" therein lies the problem.

Not pretending here to be the perfect parent but when my son used to start throwing a fit in a restaurant either my wife or I would take him outside. Today some parents just ignore this and think their precious child is doing no wrong - they don't want to be bothered.

Sorry but I never BEAT my kid but he got a whack now and then AS NEEDED !

Okay, I can hear some people calling me names now. But thankfully my son has grown up to be a very respectful and courteous person.

Okay - I'm done !
