This site is my life line to warm weather.
I check it 1st thing with my coffee to see the temp for the day.
:gc:
I plan for this little fella to be me one day.

Chachacha and Kathie I were among my first friends when I moved down here. I was in the 2007-2008 time frame with them. TOTV was an unbelievable help in making decisions about living here and for developing friendships that have endured. Thanks to the first founders and to the current administrators for a terrific service to the community.

I almost always agree with my friend Ed. And I most certainly agree with him (and the rest of you) about how much I have enjoyed this site. It is so nice to get kind responses to even to sometimes dumb questions. There truly are a lot of very friendly people here who have helped me a great deal. (And I hold out great hope for the couple of grumpy ones, too.)

I do say the hillbilly label makes me a bit nervous. OK, I'll admit I grew up in the Ozarks, and those are my cousins you're talking about, so smile when you say that, lol.

I do have a joke that comes from my radio days, but would be applicable to my cousins.

"What has 12 legs and 6 teeth? A tower crew."

One of my last jobs before I retired was supervising our construction of a new 1,300 foot high FM tower. As towers go, that's a big mother. And it is amazing to see the guys that work on these things. The description is pretty much true. With all the steel swinging in the breeze when they are hoisting stuff up, there are lots of injuries. My cousins, however, are missing teeth, and and a few genes, for other more "personal" reasons.

Thank you all again,

Dave

So happy to see you back, Ed. You've been a favorite of mine from my very first experiences on this site last year, when you helped explain to others a concept I was having trouble articulating.

We're all here for your ups and downs that are sure to come. I still pray for peace for your family.
