Default I95 Travel Conditions

Left NJ yesterday to avoid the anticipated snowmageddon and we're holed up in NC reading NC - SC - GA DOT reports of crashes and lane closures!

If anyone has any actual travel reports from family or friends, we'd like to know them. We have ressies in Hilton Head tomorrow before completing the drive to our Villages next! Hoping for a safer travel day than today seems to be!

TIA

Did you try 511 for road conditions?

We drove down yesterday on I-75. Timed it perfect when we got there. Part of I-75 south of Valdosta was closed for 10 hours. Cars were making a detour on the interstate. It opened up around 3:30 pm yesterday. I have no info on I-95.

VT gave you a great source. South Carolina 511

I just looked at 95 in the Florence SC area. Road is clear and traffic is moving fine. On the 511 website, you can view traffic cameras from several areas in SC.

Georgia 511 for Georgia traffic cams

Yep! We got most of the State alert websites covered! But have found they can be lagging in publishing material. And NC does not use the system! That's how I got to NCDOT! That site's twitter feed is pretty good.

So glad we left a day early! Wudda been back in Jersey for a week!
