My favorite is Publix chocolate chip.
Followed by Dulce de leche and maple walnut.

I grew up walking distance to Carvel on Long Island.

hands down pineapple gelato is my favorite....first tasted it back in '94 when we were in Italy, been a fan ever since. I've tried making pineapple gelato a few times, I get pretty close to the real thing, but I really need an authentic Italian gelato recipe to duplicate it

(otherwise it's like drinking Guinness over here vs. in Ireland...it's close, but not what they pour in Ireland)

today however, we are going to make some 'lavender ice cream'....nice recipe, the flavor comes from dried lavender flowers ground into dust. We'll freeze what we make while awaiting the Mission figs to show up in the grocery. We bake the figs in honey and port wine and serve them hot over the lavender ice cream. Lot's of great flavors going on in that bowl for sure.

We have fig trees have picked hundreds of them and given most to neighbors.

No clue what kind they are, have asked but they are not talking.:bigbow:

There was also a Jahn's in West Islip in the Korvettes shopping center.

Gee, that location is even closer to where I was from, Lindenhurst, NY.
