I think if everyone strictly followed and internalized the Golden Rule, everything else would be taken care of.

I would eliminate the sinful nature of Humankind ... which is what makes law abiding people want to have those handy dandy devices to protect them in the meantime.

I also dream of the day Mayor Bloomberg keeps his focus on big gulp sodas.

For me, I would do away with illegal drugs.

Having worked in the environmental cleanup field and with several toxicologist, they had a favorite saying "The dose makes the poison" In another words, even drinking water can kill you. One person's illegal drug can be a life saver for another. The governments portrayal of certain drugs as "illegal" creates a lucrative black market. Nicotine and caffeine are "legal" drugs which harm and kill many people. Ever drink too many Monster beverages? Opiates and THC have recreational as well as therapeutic effects. Its not the drug that is harmful but the abuse of these drugs makes them harmful. Unfortunately, not all people can self regulate and we end having the government do this for us creating a criminal market. Fortunately, other governments in the world take a more progressive view and I believe we are slowly doing the same.

Yup. I think that what you have said above is a reach. Maybe Marijuana, but not heroin, cocaine, and the legal ones that are used illegally; methamphetamines, oxycodone etc.

The drug cartel is richer than all the Koch brothers squared and we sit and do nothing while addiction destroys our young..

I would make sure that not one person would have to go to bed hungry any night. Hunger can make essentially good people do bad things.

We all have the power of making the world a better place. And that is making a change in yourself. As the King of Pop said, "If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make the change".

I'd like to teach the world to sing (in perfect harmony)...

Do we use only 10 percent of our brain? | Psychology Today

Get people to use a much higher level of their heart and then their brains.
