and no one whose answered has wet their knickers....then your values are not those of most people who live by "do unto others". Just by asking you're saying that you're "entitled" and by conservative values(most here don't mind hard work or even working two jobs to make ends meet)that sucks.

I don't take what I don't need and because some of my tax monies have gone to feeding the less needy doesn't mean I should benefit from it.

The only one "p**ed...

is you for getting called out. You asked that question because you were hoping to take advantage of a system not designed for your situation in life. I read only people questioning your motive(rightly so)and doing it in a calm manner.

You're BUSTED!

You see where we live knickers are what Pane Stewart and Alfalfa used to wear. One was respected and the other, not so much. I meant no harm.

Tom - quite correct. And avoid the "wet twist" under all circumstances.

I think it's just wrong that needy people can buy formula with food stamps but not diapers or wipes. Next time you donate to a food pantry try to include some paper goods. They are needed

Too many "poor" people with cell phones and hair appointments.

I came across an interesting article the other day that stated: "...the typical person in the bottom 5 percent of the American income distribution is still richer than 68 percent of the world’s inhabitants."

Maybe the US should require a "weigh in" before a person can get welfare benefits.

Why not? Because unless we are truly and honestly in need, most of us feel in our hearts that accepting government assistance is wrong.

kathygeorge 03-16-2016 06:03 PM

Hey just wondering, aren't you glad you asked the question?

virgind 03-16-2016 07:09 PM
