Those properties are in The Villages. There are 7 properties in Chatham Acres that are 5.25 acres each, where horses are welcome. My understanding is that since the developer is no longer offering premier homes, an outside contractor is building the homes.

The interesting thing is that the property was NOT listed with the Properties of the Villages.
It was listed by a MLS Realtor.

Hmmmmmm . . . so what does that tell you? I guess she wanted more exposure.

That's one ugly house. It looks like a conference center not a home. And inside full of steps, the kitchen cupboards look like they belong in a locker room, well I could go on and on.

I think that is the whole idea. That is why there is no pool or anything looking comfortable. This house says strictly “business” to me.

The Villages does not sell properties that are not part of The Villages.

I’ll bet Ol Whitney could care less what anyone thinks about the house or the price.
👍

Wow! Tough crowd. 😳

The Architect was Robert Ikea of Sweden.

The Home is not in TV to the best of my knowledge. The 9 acres will magically turn in to 200 frame built apartments like those next to Saddlebrook.

I thought it is part of the family compound off 466. It is ugly.

Agree! Architecturally poor design and colors. TV above the fireplace is a no-no as well.

Not a part of the Villages and most comments seem to be out of jealousy from individuals who can't afford a home of that value. Why even comment, no one cares if you truly don't care for it. Why not just be happy she got a buyer?

I do not care for the Scandinavian style, the industrial modern style, nor the polished concrete flooring. This open concept reminds me of a warehouse.

Someone bought it? Good for them!

& here we have it: money cannot buy taste.

10 acres of property I can only imagine the taxes. This house was never lived in. They sold off the property and built spec homes. Anything for a buck…….. SMH

Just reading all the comments on the $2.9 million house for sale

I was just reading all the comments on this home. It may not be your taste, but it was theirs. It’s a very modern home and I think it’s lovely and it’ll be a buyer who also thinks the same. There’s a house out there for everyone. I don’t know why we have to have negative comments all the time it’s asking anyone to live there unless they want to have a great day.
