I can only assume that the head of the IRS's next job will be Gov of Florida

Governor is elected. IRS Commissioner is appointed by the President.

The IRS did catch the fraud.

How exactly can you substantiate your claim that the government "uses it as a redistribution scheme?"

I think Rubicon was just being a little bit sarcastically funny.

I guess we all have different reactions to what is or is not funny.

Some people use sarcasm and some people use passive aggressive behavior and some people use diversionary tactics when discussing something potentially heated and controversial.

It depends on what you believe and how you perceive things as to whether you think it has humor.

It is very hard on this forum to see faces so as to ascertain a person's current attitude. But after having read what a person thinks and believes over time, you can get a feel for their innate personality.

If you agree with a person's philosophy it is easier to like them and to appreciate their humor. If you don't accept their philosophy or agree with their values and morals and attitudes, there is nothing funny about them. EVER. They just make you discouraged, angry and turned off.

It is sad, that as we get to know each other better, we are more comfortable with some and continually aggravated with others. It seems that politics takes the place of religion as our core intensity as we age.

I am not happy about that, but I see It happening to myself and others. We were better off not knowing them so well...perhaps.

The bottom line is that we all have good things about us. When we disagree we can't see them.

All the more reason for a political forum. Posters can be so different from their political posts and their non political posts. Sometines it's hard to tell it's the same person.

Hi Average Guy: the information comes from an article I read in Wall street journal some time back. The article specifically made the point that it was an effort at redistribution. Average Guy were talking about the federal government meaning how can one explain anything when it comes to federal spending programs?

You ask me to substantiate my claim. May I now ask why you believe this information is incorrect? The EBIT is on the agenda to be re-worked next year. Want to bet that the populist party will fight it tooth and nail.

The federal government is too big too rigid too inefficient. it enacts short term spending programs that go on for years and years without anyone monitoring their need or efficacy. ...and you are questioning my statement??????
