Default It's a Small Wonderful World

During my wife's unexpected stay in the Village Hospital, this past week, it has come to our attention how small and wonderful it is here in The Villages.
Betty my wife needed emergency treatment for a Kidney/Liver infection. The Villages Hospital was like staying at the Hyatt Regency and the staff was very caring and professional.
Without mentioning any names we, we wish to thank all the folks who prayed and sent flowers and wishes for her speedy recovery via emails, telephone calls and visits. You all are "top shelf"
This leads me to the story of how small our world is. During Betty's stay, I received a call from a TOTV member to take down and install a new ceiling fan. I fit this is between visits to the hospital one day and during conversation with the customer, I mentioned that my wife was in the hospital. She said "what floor?", I said "the 5th", she said "what room?", I said "594", she said "I'm a nurse and I'm assigned to that floor". I nearly fell off the ladder. As that evening approached, sure enough, there she was, and full of smiles and advice about Drs. etc. As the expression goes, "what a find" she was.
She was so delighted with her new fan that she ran up and down the ward, handing out my businees cards. How sweet is that?
I have left out names here in my thank you letter for fear of forgetting anyone. If you read this, you need to know we will never forget your kindness. Betty is home now (here in TV) and had a great day in the warmth and sunshine one just can't get in a hospital bed.
God Bless you all
Mrs. Handie (Betty) and Handie (John)

Great story. Sometimes things just work out so well. Had a couple serendipitous things like that myself last week. But that had to be the best. Glad she is doing better.

Donna, but you were there in spirit. I even gave Betty a little kiss from you!! She felt your presence.

Betty, so glad you're home. Its a beautiful hotel (hospital I mean) but there's no place like home. Get better soon. I'll be in touch.

Betty, Hope you are feeling better real soon. You make sure Handie is taking real good care of you - I have a bell you could borrow to get his attention. Soak up the sunshine and I'm sure you'll be back on track real soon. Handie glad to hear the good report about the hospital and I was truly sorry to hear about Betty's hospital stay. Take care

So glad to hear that Betty is doing better and that she too had such a positive experience in TV Regional as I had had in December. Thanks for posting it in Non Villages where so many more people will see it than in Medical. Betty, just keep doing well, and we'll see you again, hopefully soon! The 'small world' thing seems to happen almost daily!

So nice to hear such a positive story. This is a small world.
Glad Betty is on the mend....nothing like Florida blue sky and sunshine. Please give her my good wishes for a quick recovery.
