Default I've been TRYING to live by this for almost a year - it helped.

.
.
I posted this image on my Facebook in May 2020, with all the COVID stuff etc etc going on.

JUST reposted it again with a message "I posted this May 2020 - and EXACTLY applies to January 2021. in awe, and sad.".

Thought I'd share to see if this may help relieve some stress and anxiety with others here on ToTV. I have limited my 'news' consumption on TV and Social Media, which I feel was the biggest impact. And extremely pleased that TV had not stopped offering most of our recreational activities. Outside stuff, esp golf has really been a good outlet. We're so lucky to be in Florida, and especially The Villages...

That's like the Serenity Prayer in pictures.. lol

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; The courage to change the things I can; And the wisdom to know the difference.

This is so true, and I have been living along these lines as well. It is so very unfortunate that so many folks cannot get a grip on living their life without worrying and complaining about what other folks do, or don't do. It seems to me that some folks just cannot live without complaining. And yes, what you say is similar to The Serenity Prayer. I'm not complaining about other folks complaining, just stating facts. People that complain don't bother me, I just feel sorry for them. All said IMHO.

The serenity prayer says it all. When feeling down look up. He has the answers you are looking for.

Very thankful to be here in TV as well where there’s lots of outdoor activities and weather conducive to bring outside which has kept some sense of normalcy throughout this time. Definitely glad to have not been living in a lockdown state throughout all of this as that just fuels the feelings of despair and lack of hope.

Love the chart. Seems to me that everyone has a certain amount of energy which is directed at worrying. When you are raising kids working a job, those areas absorbed that worrying energy. Everything else didn't matter. When retirement hits, people tend to obsess over things that we can't control and, in the end, don't really matter. This chart helps put everything into perspective. Thanks!
