Religion is truth? Then why are there so many different ones? There are estimates that there are OVER 5000 different sects in Christianity alone...why so many if it's "the truth"?

There are so many lies told by public figures, it isn't funny...it's sad, yet we do nothing. Why? Why DO we put up with it?

Jesus wasn't white? Really? Then what was he? He wasn't Asian. He wasn't Negroid. He wasn't American Indian. That leaves white (Caucasian). People from the Mediterranean regions ARE white. Spanish are white, Italians are white, Israelis are white. Just because your skin is dark, doesn't mean you're not classified as Caucasian. White (Caucasian) isn't only the Northern European version of white.

You may be right. That is why I added European looking. As I have quoted before, I live by the writings of Sermon on the Mount. All the other writings are well intentioned but fictional stories. If not Jesus and his teachings, then I would become an atheist.

and of course if any of us were concerned about a misstep this one link is what sets the record straight? Right.

I am impressed after all these centuries and all the scholars in the world and all the religions of the world thoroughout these centureis have been able to keep it a secret.....UNTIL NOW!! I am impressed.

I wonder who or what the make up of the very first group was that decided to hide the real truth.

I am impressed....tick tock....I am over it!

Over what?:D

Merry Christmas!!

I somewhat agree with some of the comments but for me it isn't an issue to talk about a "race". There are people with different colors of skin on earth but there are all human beings and at the end brothers and sisters. So what? What people can make out of that… well we can see, hear and feel it in different ways under different circumstances.

It has never been a secret to those that have educated themselves on biblical history.

I agree with Gracie's supposition that when viewed, Jesus appears to each of us as our image of beautiful. After all, his teachings are all about love and acceptance and generosity of spirit.

Yes that is why I like to talk about Sermon on the Mount.

What DID Jesus say? It's a VERY good question! Why? Because he didn't write ONE word down. Because his chosen few apostles didn't write down ONE word. Why not?

So, I ask, what DID Jesus say? And how do you know?

It's a simple innocent question. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to instigate a brouhaha.

How did Jesus and the Hebrews become WHITE?

Because the creator made them that way

Don, this conversation may not be one in which you want to include yourself. You've made it very obvious that you are an atheist; I accept that you do not believe the precepts of the bible.

I will respect your right to hold your opinion, please accept our right to have faith and believe in God. A brouhaha is not required.

All I am saying is I believe that Jesus was not a European looking white man. What do you believe?

I believe we were all made in His image and likeness - so He looks like all of mankind.

I remember seeing some Biblical movies such as King of Kings. Jesus was a very tall, blonde, blue-eyed white person (Jeffrey Chandler, I think). Of course, He did not look like that. Think more of a Lebanese looking person, olive skin maybe, dark eyes for sure, probably curly black hair, and no more than 5 foot 5 inches tall. Just a wild guess on my part as even I am not that old!

Once again, does it matter either what personal opinion was expressed by a talking head or what He really looked like in reality?

Anyhow, whatever Jesus looked like, the world was changed forever with His coming, life, and resurrection.

:BigApplause: Thank you for that post.

Religion and politics----perhaps the two most difficult subjects to discuss among friends. Peace on earth and Merry Christmas to all.
