Because he participated in the chase - but mainly the cornering (false imprisonment - a felony - by positioning his truck so as to prevent Mr. Arbery from escaping the three men) of Mr. Arbery - that lead to his death, Mr. Bryan's felony level actions (false inprisonment) contributed to the situation which lead to Mr. Arbery's death.
