Hunting these cranes ranks right up there with clubbing baby seals for their fur. There is no end to stupidity.

You well may be right...However they are recruiting folks to chase them down and put diapers on them...and THEN you get to change the diapers..

It was reported in The Milwaukee Journal that the legislature is considering a bill to allow hunting of the Sandhill Crane. (Legislative Referance Bill # 3173/3) The best part is that it would require hunters to complete a "sandhill crane hunting education course". Apparently you have to be taught how to blast one of these things! I always thought they would just fall over if you bonked them with an errant golf ball.:duck:
The article also stated that 13 states already allow sandhill crane hunting. You learn something new every day!:ho:
