Default Legal cases on television

I have been watching the Jogger Murder Trial on HLN and wanted to let readers know that this television station has shown the entire trial, as it did in a another recent high-profile trial. If people are looking for an forum to view these trials, Headline News in the place, if you can access it. It can be tedious, but you get unbiased information, even though the do have a panel that provides some commentary. Some previous posts have stated incorrectly that another television station airs complete trials. Just a point of education, if interested.

Thanks.

And if people are interested you can usually get Jury Instructions online. As well as a lot of Criminal Laws and such.

Florida Standard Jury Instructions – The Florida Bar

The court wherever the case you are interested in may have stuff online for the potential jurors in that jurisdiction too. Wisconsin Jury Instructions - Wisconsin State Law Library

Having watched a great deal of another recent high profile trial, and then read the reports on various news channels, I have learnt it is not what you report that slants a case either way, but what is left out!

I’ve been wanting to go to the courthouse and watch a few trials in person (because I’m retired and I can do so). I want to see the way our judges rule and see what kind of plea agreements our prosecutors make. Are they fair? Are they outrageous? During elections, we’re asked if we want to retain certain judges, for example, and I wouldn’t mind voting for a good reason, I suppose.

Curiosity.

The low quality of the legal system will astound you. Better than television

If you are watching the actual coverage, you are getting the facts with your own eyes and ears. The bias comes from the commentators. So, you need to exercise your critical thinking skills.

Court TV does a very good job of covering these trials also. They are completely unbiased. All of their on-air personalities are attorneys or judges so they know what they are talking about. It’s refreshing to see an unbiased news source.

You can watch the entire trial and mute the commentators during the breaks. Nothing biased except one’s own opinions. QUOTE=thevillages2013;2033042]Just pointing out that HLN is CNN . Unbiased?[/QUOTE]

WRONG! it is the other way around. I can hardly wait until Kyle cashes in by suing CNN and MSNBC among others for slander and libel. FOX got it correct, as it almost always does.
