But you spent about $200,000 - $300,000 of your cash. Paying rent avoids this large expenditure.

They are, from what I’ve heard, planning on building condos in the Fenney/Southern Oaks area one day.

I get the feeling the developer is starting to look at what Gen X and the Millenials will want one day.
Of course the Millenials (1980-1995) are still very
young (my Son is an older Millenial, just turned 34).

They don’t think the post Baby Boomers are all going to want houses.
Just my opinion but I think a number of baby boomers would like to rent and or own a condo vs. being bothered with all the possible issues of a house.

I would guess $3000 to $4000. since they said "luxury" apts. This is still under the assisted living apts costs that can go over $6000 per month.

I would expect that early adopters are gong to have the lowest rents ever. Then watch out for a substantial rent increase.. And eventually a condo conversion.

Jim I would have to agree with you. I also think many of of us would like a condo, especially if we lose our spouse.
If alone I would feel safer in a condo with other people around.

I love that The Villages keeps offering different homes to have other options for us so we can truly “age in place.”
