Default The lucky dogs are the ones owned by retirees.

I was just telling out dog today how lucky she is to be with us. They spend most of their days around us with selective alone times.

Just think of all the other dogs that are in families that are in a different stage of life....working/raising kids. That usually means the dog(s) get to spend a very large portion of their day alone. Althogh when everybody starts to arrive home they have the most active of life times.

If I had to come back as a dog I think I would like to be with retired folks so I could be around them most of the time. Then when the kids and grand kids come I could have fun like the family dogs do. Yes I would want the best of both worlds if at all possible.

Wouldn't you?

Are you sure you didn't mean to title your thread... The lucky retirees are the ones owned by dogs?

Met a dog a few months ago named after a British royal--Pippa. That sure fits in the Villages. Oh to be so pampered.

Default Dogs

I agree. I can't imagine how my dogs would fare being alone every work day. I love being with them. When entering the house after being away for five minutes, they act like I've been gone all day. They are thrilled to be with me again. I am as devoted to them as they are to me. They are very, very lucky dogs but I am luckier because they are in my life.

All I know is that I want to come back as a white, fluffy dog in The Villages.

One of my neighbors has a bull dog and named him... Sir Winston Churchill.

I know a Shelby named Winston. Pretty sure he too is named after Winston Churchill. Several of the dogs I have met in the Villages are named after MLB players like Cal Ripkin (Ripkin) or NFL players in a number of Tebows as in Tim Tebow. But how do they do with catching balls? The owners are good are throwing them.

Even know a one eyed pooch named Captain Jack. No he does not wear an eye patch. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Most of the dogs in TV have won the Doggie Lottery! They live like Queens and Kings!
