I probably have more knowledge in this subject then 99% of the world's population. It's all about opening your mind and seeing things from a totally different perspective. When we are all born we are all ready on the road to a closed mind. As one expert in this field said, "the more I learn the crazier I sound."
Here is one example. Do people know a "phone" was actually invented almost 1,200 years ago? And in China no less. True story. Now there will be a person who will say. "that is impossible and crazy." But, it's true. The greatest ignorance is when people bash something in a topic they know nothing about.

Were you in archeology or history or another science?

Lottoguy 06-24-2017 11:13 AM

I'm into all three. One of the most interesting topics is called forbidden archaeology. There are many things that science cannot explain. And when this happens they are ignored. This is what happened to Einstein and Tesla. But, they eventually prevailed.

Lottoguy is an interesting name. Do you enjoy gambling or does it have a different meaning?

We have found that avoiding gambling has enabled us to pay for our grandchildren's college educations. They had to keep their grades up and choose a viable career, but we think it is a good investment. We hope that they will make a lot of money so we can move in with them.

1,200-year-old telephone, amazing invention of the ancient Chimu civilization | Ancient Origins

Is this that phone? It is from ancient Peru.

Lottoguy 06-24-2017 02:48 PM

Yes, it is TRUE. The object is in the Smithsonian in Washington DC. Does anybody know this on these boards? I can probably count on my hands how many know this. But, when people are confronted with something so unusual to their way of thinking it is automatically discounted. I like to call it the "Chuckle Factor". There is so much in our world that is totally amazing that people just cannot accept.

Folded up mummies having "egghead" extended crania are found in arid regions of South America. The ancient people buried their dead this way. Too, they used boards on their infants to shape their skulls like this. For UFO and alien stories Roswell is a lot closer to Florida. Boo! Roswell UFO incident - Wikipedia

Meanwhile a Bigfoot family picnics at one of the rest stops on the West Virginia turnpike totally unnoticed!

How then do you explain newborns with elongated skulls? And please don't use Wikipedia for your source of information. Even colleges tell their students that site is unreliable.

Yes, that picnic is right next to the "Whistling In The Dark Syndrome" convention.

Serious question(s) here.

Do you think 9/11 was an inside job...carried out by the American government?

And not just that they knew the plot ahead of time (but I am curious if you believe that also), but that the fall of the Twin Towers...was actually a controlled demolition?

Anxiously awaiting your answer.

Paddington Bear --- you know the talking bear who can read , write , craves orange marmalade and acts very much like a young boy is also from Peru --- from " Darkest Peru " to be exact .

So it would appear that anything is possible .

I do agree that we humans have a problem accepting amazing events.
If we cannot understand an event, we normally reject it as true.
IMHO, that's the way humans are wired.

GG, I don't mean I agree with everything Lottoguy hypothesizes.
But people once argued that the world was flat. And that if you reached the edge, you'd fall off!
