Not true, wish it were so, though we are the only western democracy that does not have any sort of universal healthcare insurance for it’s citizens with the exception for those 65 and over.

What about if she Rents the house for 10k per month? Or maybe she gives all her money to charity so she has none left for her medical bills.

OP posted fighting for her life, news reports the same, and No health insurance. One can choose to donate to more than a million requests for money, no one is forced to donate money, fund requests it’s not directed to anyone.

Sorry, I carried health insurance when I was her age. Her responsibility is to take care of her affairs. I would never donate money to a fund page.

True. But if you can not afford it, you have to pay a 700.00 penalty. All of the requirements were done away with a few years back.

Sounds like a bunch of hogwash and greed to me. Her daughter is not responsible for her medical bills. Get the treatment you need and then raise the money to pay the bills. No need to raise money before the medical bills are due. If she didn't buy health insurance, that is her mistake.
