Default Medicare Part D premiums???

Has anybody else received their their Part D coverage statement for 2009?
I have Humana Select which has no deductible, reasonable coverage and co-pays.
I just received my booklet for 2009 coverages. Premiums have almost doubled from $23.30 to $43.20.....co pays across the board are up 30-40%.

I was wondering if this is typical of what all providers will do now that we have been hooked for a couple of years.

I will do some shop/comparing by other providers, but would appreciate hearing/seeing if others have seen the same magnitude increases.

Default Medicare Part D

We have the same plan. On the new plan a 90 day supply of Lipitor is $100. At Canadadrugsonline the same Lipitor is $129, without the monthly plan expense. We decided to go there.

Default Part D

We have had Wellcare for several years. There are no copays and all of our medicines are included in the plan both this year and next year. Our premiums have been $23 per person for the last two years. Next year our premium will go up to $26.20 each - no copay and no deductible. Because we have never reached the doughnut hole, we have never paid anything for our prescriptions except for the premiums.

Yes, Wellcare Signature plan will be $26.20 for 2009. No deductable no copay. It has a been a good deal for us. If you do not use Generic or Tier One drugs, you may want to compare one of their other plans.

Your're right Generic Lipitor ( Atorvastatin) is not on the market yet in the US. However, it IS on the market in Canada. Checkout canadadrugs.com.
