I have to be Monks number The Villages Florida fan..I have my own Monk bobble head..

..I think Natalie is the best assistant Monk ever had, she is devoted, compassionate and cares for him a great deal..Natalie is what Monk really needs..

This is my topic..The Villages Florida

Did you know Ted Levine (Capt. S.) is best known for his role as the serial killer "Buffalo Bill" in the classic thriller The Silence of the Lambs..I talk to Captain Leland Stottlemeyer on My Space all the time..

A little trivia for you..The Villages Florida

Monk's one of my favorite shows too. I did not remember that role of Ted Levine in Silence of the Lambs

I liked Sharona because she had a bit more of an edge than Natalie Teeger.

Sure find all of his many phobias amusing. He seems to have one for just about everything.

I am glued to the TV all day and night..The Villages Florida

Monk suffers from 38 documented phobias, but that number grows by the episode...LOL

Good question you guys.

I love Monk!!! Used to watch every marathon but since finding TOTV, I've really been remiss... how do you think I rack up all the hours on TOTV that I have. I don't watch Monk any more.

But sorry Donna, I agree with Tal, I think Sharona was much better for him.

She seemed to be a little more forceful trying to help him overcome some of those phobias.

Gosh, he only has 38 phobias?? That the same # that I do!

Is he shy too? Kathie

Kathie1? Look into getting a Lake County Library Card. http://www.lakeline.lib.fl.us/progra...brarycard.aspx

I got the Monk DVDs for several seasons from the Lake County Library. They charge $40 per household for a library card if you are a Sumter County resident. Believe that Marion and Lake County residents can use Lake County Library's for free.

You can check out a lot of other fairly new DVDs from Lake County Library system too even if there is usually quite a long wait for the newer ones.

38 documented phobias. That's quite a lot.

Here's a list of 38 of these from the "Adrian Monk" wikipedia article:

Germs (mysophobia)
Needles (trypanophobia)
Milk (galactophobia)
Death (necrophobia)
Snakes (ophidiophobia)
Mushrooms (mycophobia)
Heights (acrophobia)
Crowds (demophobia or enochlophobia)
Elevators
Disorder (ataxophobia)
Dark (nyctophobia), only when he doesn't know when it will end
Enclosed spaces (claustrophobia)
Dirt (molysmophobia or rupophobia)
Spiders (arachnophobia)
Driving
Bullies
Fire (pyrophobia)
Puppets (pupaphobia)
Tap Water (hydrophobia)
Noises (ligyrophobia)
Touching (aphephobia)
Feet (podophobia)
Flying (aviatophobia)
Beautiful women (caligynephobia) (except for Trudy), shown in Mr. Monk and the Blackout
Imperfection (atelophobia)
Dogs (cynophobia)
Cats (ailurophobia)
Rabbits
Monkeys
Bridges (gephyrophobia)
Public Speaking (Glossophobia) - Despite this he has been seen to talk in public, such as during the episode Mr. Monk Goes to a Wedding
Flies (entomophobia)
Slime (blennophobia or myxophobia)
Tetracycline (not actually a phobia, but a severe allergy, as revealed in Mr. Monk Goes to the Hospital)
Rivers (potamophobia)
Tunnels
Caves
Monk has called his fear of dentists (dentophobia) one of his fears that are so far above his other fears that they are in a class of their own, outside of his "top ten" fears.

I have some of those. Public speaking, needles, heights, etc.

Wonder why there are no words for fear of tunnels, bullies, rabbits, elevators, bullies, weddings and monkeys?

Been watching some of the Monk reruns on various channels. Sure do miss this show. Do not see much of the stars of Monk that much either.
