U.S. Navy ...April '65 thru October '68. Enlisted when I was 17, and got discharged the day before turning 21. When I got out, I registered for the draft.

Spent my time as a RM3 aboard the U.S.S. Hollister DD-788 (Desron 9) on a 2 year Westpac cruise. What a cruise !!!!!

USS San Pablo (AGS30) out of Philadelphia, 1961 to 1964. Cuban Blockade in 1962. Personnelman 3rd class, now Personnel Specialist. Worked for Commanding Officer in Ship's Office. Great duty. Spent most time working waters of the Caribbean.

USN 1965 to 1991. 26 years service. VP community at Moffett Field, California 1965 to 1984, USS Kennedy 1984 to 1986, Naval Safety Center Norfork, Va 1986 to 1990, USS Tarawa 1990 to 1991.

Not me but my Dad was Navy 1942-45 on the aIrcraft carrier USS Enterprise in the South Pacific during WWII. I’m just a very proud son.
