Default Nook w/3g & wifi

Any one have a Nook with these features? I have a few questions:
Can you use the 3g feature to access e-mail and web if you are not near a hot spot?
I guess that in a rec center for example, the wifi will allow web and e-mail?
Does the NooK connect to a PC so you can drag files to the Nook?
Can you e-mail yourself an epub file and open it on the Nook?

Barnes & Noble have reconditioned Nooks w/3g & wifi on line for $139. Good deal ?

Thanks

I don't have a Nook. My Kindle with 3G and Wifi does those things - albeit slowly and awkwardly.

do you have a link for that sale. I might be interested if it is the Nook color.

My son's nook color is very nice. He got it new for 199. Web using wifi is fun. Some people root it and install full android OS and use them as a pad.

I have a nook 3g and love it. It's much easier on the eyes than a color reader if you plan on a long reading session. You can not use the 3g to access e-mail or the web. The 3g is only for downloading books when not near a hot spot. The kindle will let you access the web over 3g but then the kindle won't let you borrow e-books from the library. You can connect the nook to a computer to drag files.

If I had it to do again, I would buy the cheaper wifi only nook. When I bought my 3g version, I didn't have a home network. Since then, I set one up for my DirecTV and no longer use the 3g. You can buy a new wifi nook for about $150 and set up a home network for about $60.

My wife and I have had a 3G/WiFi Nook for about a year. 3G and WiFi work great. Best feature is the free downloads from libraries. Download to a laptop, then drag and drop to the Nook. We rarely buy books.

Last month, I got a refurbished Nook wi/fi (not the color one) for $100.00 on ebay with the year's warrenty. I LOVE it...

I didn't feel I needed the 3G because I download the books on the wi/fi at home or elsewhere, or sideload them on the mac.

You can get the internet with the wi/fi, but to be honest, it's slow and kind of hard to get used to...I just use it for my books.

Also I signed up for the Free Philadelphia Library ($15.00 / year for non-Philly residents) and so far have made great use of it.

Good luck with your purchase.
