If you were to go out the Belvedere gate and stay on Belvedere until you passed the high school and then crossed 466, the road becomes CR 101. Southern Trace Shopping Center would be on your right and CVS would be on you left. Continue straight and you'll pass a small shopping on the left that has Street Rods Golf Carts on the end. The Villages are on the right and Parkwood is on the left. If you continue north you would pass behind Glenview Golf Course. Parkwood on the left and the new section would also be on the left adjoining the older section.

As far as traffic goes, I think there will eventually need to be a stoplight at the intersection of CR 101 and Woodridge. As the OP says, there can be a long wait to enter or cross CR 101, especially when the high school students are being picked up.

Earlier this year the county addressed the problem a block further down at Wedgewood and CR 101 by adding an island that prohibits cars driving in either direction on Wedgewood from turning left onto 101. Big improvement!

As John_W said, development is inevitable and I'm sure families in the area are glad to have additional housing options.
