Looks nice but fyi, they advertise no bond but watch out for HOA Fees that run up monthly costs.

I went to see the community and was told by a salesperson the townhomes have a bond of $13,000 and the single family homes have a bond of $17,000.

Most of the national builders are having this same problem. Pulte in the del Webb communities is a good example.

Golf cart access?

[QUOTE=John_W;1722485] If you're looking for property just outside TV at a lower price, I would check out Lakeside Landing

Can you easily drive a golf cart from Lakeside Landing to Lake Sumpter Landing?

DR Horton is the builder. I am in the insurance business. Be very careful. DR Horton is involved in a lot of construction related claims that basically mean subcontractors doing less than stellar work. I think their home base is Orlando. Be very careful!!!

It sounds like they are in the "Tire Choice" class of home builders.

"Lakeside Landing" It sounds nice. Are there any pickleball courts or tennis courts?

Lakeside Landing is not even a mile from Arnold Palmer, take a look, they have a beautiful pool and putting green. I have neighbors who moved there.

Legally no, but they're only 200 yards from TV and many do have carts and just shoot down Rainey Trail.

I may take a tour if this Covid madness ever ends.

A lot of misinformation here on this thread.
D R Horton has been building homes since 1978. Their HDQ is in Arlington, Texas. They built our home in Texas and many for others I have known. They are a publicly traded Corp and have a stellar reputation. Perhaps their quality has slipped; I don’t know but it has been excellent in the past. We all have different experiences . Our Story

Sumter and Spanish Springs are about 15-25 minutes away, respectively. Brownwood takes almost 45 minutes by cart, but less than 10 by car.

So can you drive your street legal cart JUST on the public streets or the Multi-Modal path that is for Villages residents and guests?

Looks like a nice area.
