I started a little business to keep me occupied as I went through chemo. I am still involved and I enjoy it. Only thing is that I can think a little more clearly now. I feel I did go through the "chemo brain" thing. I applaud your endeavor and stand ready to help in any way I can. Prayers and positive thoughts and this hug is heading your way. |

Hi Jann
Sounds like a fun book to read already, can't wait!
Another fun dog park story. Very busy day at the park, and all dogs lined up at th gate so they can "meet and greet" the "new kid on the block", as we push our way in, a cute little "taco" dog by the name of Walker gives our Moses a "special greeting", and all dogs follow suit, which is the beginning of a "congo line" of six dogs....See this place is Florida's friendliest hometown... ps: Moses was not happy being the "leader of the Pack"...giggle |

I wish you would write a nonfiction book. I read Leisurville also, and it would be nice to have another insiders opinion.

We need a bigger golf cart.
At the Southern Trace Shopping Center Publix there was a tied up St. Bernard which probably weighed well over 200 pounds in a very small golf cart. The dog was alone waiting for its master.
The front window of the golf cart so that the St. Bernard could sit comfortably in the golf cart. I am not sure what happens though when the cart starts moving as there did not seem to be much room for the golf cart driver with the St. Bernard also in the golf cart. This was a two person golf cart (Club Car) area where this huge pooch could sit. You frequently see passengers waiting for their shopping partners who have their dogs with them in their golf carts. These are usually very small to medium sized dogs like chihuahuas, terriers, shelties, labs, collies, poodles, etc. This is the first St. Bernard, however, I have seen in a golf cart in the Villages. They did a bigger golf cart! Last edited by Taltarzac725; 10-20-2010 at 12:03 PM. |

A neighbor couple (snowbirds not yet here, this year) have a huge black dog - not sure what breed - who looks like a black bear. Their golf cart has been modified:
Where a rear-facing seat and the golf bag-holding framework would have been is a large platform. Monster dog rides in comfort, undoubtedly enjoying every minute of his ride. Don't know whether he faces forward or backward! SWR

There is a chihuahua in Lynnhaven who has a metal milk carton for a dog seat for its owner's golf cart. |

Betty - I had not been on the forum for a bit - and saw that you are back in VA. Looks like you are now looking to come back? I hope to meet in person this time if you do!
