Default Nintendo Wii...

Are there any Wii parties in TV? We just got this outfit last week and are having a hoot!

GF,

TV is having an outdoor expo this weekend at La Hacienda. I heard on the radio that one of the exhibits will be a wii setup with about 5 or so wii games where residents can signup to play for 15 minute blocks. So, interest is building.

If there isn't already a club/group...you could always start one!!!

Other than Televsion talk show bits, I've never seen Wii in person....may check it out at the show.

Thanks for bringing this up. When we looked for one around Christmas, they were nowhere to be found. Then we forgot all about it. We will look today. -- lots of snow expected for tomorrow. -- aaaaaaaaaaaaaauuuuuuuugh!!!!!

Can it help with your golf game? Mine sure does not need fine-tuning. I wish that were the case. I just need to try to remember WHAT to do. It has been a long time since I have played.

We also picked one up at Circuit City in Ft. Walton Beach this past weekend.* As much bowling as we played on it in the past week, if we had to pay per string we would have paid for half the cost of the machine already!

This will be a great thing to spend time on during the hottest July and August days in TV, the opposite equivalent of the cold December, January, and February days up north.

My husband and I want a Wii. We played with our grandkids and found it isn't that easy but a lot of laughs. We want our own so we can laugh at each other. It's really fun. Here's to a Wii Club. We'll join when we are permanent. Hopefully by the summer.

As I understand it, you can bowl amd play golf and tennis. What else is available? Any favorites to recommend?

When I read this thread this morning, I thought that I would look for one today. I went out and about and totally forgot about it. Duh!!!

A basic "sports" package comes with the unit which includes boxing, baseball, bowling, golf and tennis. Plus it has a great photo viewer (via an SD card slot) and some internet functions which I haven't set up yet.

The Mayo Clinic rehab center has a special program using this Nintendo product that they call Wii-habilitation (no joke).

As V07 already pointed out watch the monthly calendar as I have seen Wii events listed, sounds like a good time, like I need another addiction here in TV.
