Default Now that we've signed

Yes, now that we've signed on several hundred dotted lines or in initial circles to purchase our house ( we're thrilled), we will be responsible for an inspection. TV gave us a respectable list of them, and all who they work with. I am concerned about conflict of interest on their part, since as payers, they should be protecting us. With that in mind, who would you more experienced people use for inspection? Any help would be welcome. Thanks in advance. Thank you so very much.

Best regards

Congrats Peg on your new home. We didn't use an independent inspector two years ago but it's a good idea to have a professional opinion. There was an earlier post on TOTV which might be of interest to you.

Peg,

Congrats on your purchase....it's a wonderful life down here.

We used Pat DeGioia, A-1 Villages Home Inspection for our end of warranty home inspection. He is a Villages Resident (Liberty Park I believe), many years of inspection experience, knows the Villages houses very well, is not connected with the developer or the builders, and does good work at a very fair price. I highly recommend him.

Cell - 352-205-0180

Good luck!!!

Welcome, I completely agreed. We also used Pat Degioia. Great inspection, even saw tiny cracks in the grout I surely would have missed. And we're using him once more right before our warranty is up. You'll love it here!

We also used Pat Degioia, A-1 Villages Home Inspection, 352-205-0180, to inspect our brand new home with the builder prior to closing. I was very pleased with his services. He was thorough (per my subsequent conversation with the builder) and did find a couple of significant items and some minor items which the builder either fixed during the inspection or the next day. I was very pleased with the inspector and the builder. Pat's report arrived within hours of the inspection. For me the peace of mind was well worth the cost. I plan on having him reinspect about a month before the end of the one year warranty.

We used a fellow by the name of DUWARD FARQUARD..............We met him as he was greeting people at Wal-Mart ......Yes , he was a little short on qualifications but hey!!!! $20 bucks is $20 bucks...........We have been very happy with Mr. Farquard and will use him again someday if we can ever find him....I will admit that I was a little nervous about the Panama Uniform but thats just me !!!! I'm suspicious of everyone........

ever cautious fumar :cop: ;D ;D

We too used Pat DiGioia on the recommendation of friends and were very pleased with his attention to detail, his prompt and thorough report his willingness to answer many time-consuming questions we had about his findings, and how very reasonable he is. And he is indeed a Villages resident and, in fact, neighbor of friends of ours. His phone number was given in an earlier post.
