RW:

Sounds like you might enjoy the Don Garlitz Museum - about 20 minutes North of the New Wal-Mart in Buffalo Grove.

Stopped at it when I was traveling here in April. LOVED IT!!! Actually got to meet Big Daddy at the OC strip in his heyday. Talk about being thrilled!

My brother had one and I remember him driving my mom and I to the grocery when the car started to fill with smoke inside and the headlights flickered. The smoke was coming from the almost nonexhistent back seat that I was sitting on. It seems the battery was located under the seat and the fabric covered metal seat had shorted out against the top of the battery. Did I mention that he carried pliers and a screwdriver to unstick the shift linkage? hahahaha What a car.

Fluid drive, slush-o-matic. Sure do remember it.
