Geckos and anoles are 2 distinctly different things. Geckos are "usually" lighter in color, their eyes bug out a bit and they kind of waddle, not run straight like a "lizard" or anole. They also have relatively big toe pads that are like little suction cups. We had a family of geckos on our lanai at our last home. The babies were almost clear! Oh, I don't remember them ever trying to bite us when we got a hold of them to return then to their "house", but the lizards do have a good bite on them. :)

Most of you on here must be a lot faster than I am. I have had only marginal success in catching (and releasing) them with my net. They simply move too fast for me. We had at least 3 in our birdcage today and I could only catch the smallest one. So what other methods work? How do you keep them out of your home? When the weather permits we like to leave the door to our birdcage open and have the screen down on our garage and let the air flow completely through our home. While I think they are very cute I do not want them inside my home.

Any other resolutions?

Mocking birds sure do like them.

Geckos!

I guess since they're in my birdcage I could have a couple mocking birds stop by as guests on occasion. That should take care of them. :)

Me too, but I have yet to catch one! I think a butterfly net might work better.
