Lyrics to a bawdy song are coming back to me....

"Happy go lucky, bare....foot and free, gosh darn it."

Anyone go to Aquinas High in Columbus?

I agree. Also the post about coastal living is true. Central Florida where the Village is tends to get the temperature extremes. Living on the coast, the temperatures are moderated by the ocean. Naples is a nice area with many different retirement communities. It doesn't' get so cold there in the winter, nor as hot in the summer. You might want to check it out. Good luck.

Having previously lived on both FL coasts - Ft Lauderdale & Tampa - I respectfully disagree with your opinion.

I have a home on the east coast in Melbourne and one here in The Villages. We go back and forth every week. It usually is about 5 degrees or more cooler in the winter in the The Villages and up to 5 degrees hotter in the summer. On those really cold days we leave Melbourne with a sweater on and need to put on a jacket or coat when we arrive here. Right now my phone says it is 66 degrees in The Villages and 70 degrees in Melbourne.
