Yeah, I guess crimes always seem isolated to the person, or persons, it is not happening to. I'm sure if the parents of a dead child from a school shooting could have turned back time and had a school employee armed who could have possibly saved their child, they would have chosen that option.

I can't remember a night that I haven't turned on the local news and NOT heard of someone either being shot or killed right down the road from us in Orlando. As long as we all stay in our safe bubble called The Villlages, we can all possibly live in denial and not face the reality of the crime that surrounds us. If I leave the bubble, my carry firearm is like my American Express, I don't leave home without it!

They don't seem to be so isolated when it is in the interests of anti gun advocates to tout the frequency and ....the we gotta do something about all these gun attacks in schools.

Shoot the arrow into the bale of hay and then paint the bulls eye around the arrow!!! How can they lose?!

You also need to see the posts on Facebook "Guns Save Lives" maybe your views might temper a bit.

I am sure the widow and child of the "popcorn tosser" who was shot and killed by the retired police captain will agree with you.

I have an awful time understanding this kind of argument. It is a personal choice. The constitution allows us to carry firearms if we want.

You either think you need to, or you don't.

I don't need to. But I don't think the right needs to be taken away.

I no better understand a person selling unrealistic fear in a safe environment, than I understand changing the laws.

If Orlando comes close and encroaches on my way of life than I will change my views on owning and knowing how to use a gun.

I made it safely through 75 years with a little sense and a lot of a gift to read people.

You do know the bad guy fired first right? What's your solution to his stray bullets.

No one is advocating the banning of guns. As long as the Supreme Court interprets the 2nd Amendment to say private gun ownership is legal, that is fine with me.

If a person has the legal license to carry a pistol - and he does it legally - no problem. However, if he takes the pistol into a bar or other place it is iunlawful - problem!

THAT is the problem in a nutshell. All the people who unlawfully carry guns.

Here's a good one....

Ever have someone pull a gun on you, put it to your forehead and tell you he's blow your F^^&&&G brains out?

I have and I can tell you, it's unbelievable how nice you can be at that moment!

This guy was not a criminal, other than the fact that he was carrying a firearm at a time that is was illegal to carry a concealed weapon.

Whoah, what a horrible experience! Glad he didn't carry out his threat!

I do take exception to your characterization of him as not being a "criminal". Holding a gun to a person's head and threatening to kill someone is a very serious felony in every state of the union.

Do you think Jesus was telling his followers to

protect themselves?

Luke 22:36

Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Thank you Sophie.
