You can take your own passport photos with a cell phone. Just make sure you get the size correct, according to the State Department website.

We did that ten years ago with a digital camera. There are photo rules such as proper background, size of the head in the image, etc. etc. The only place that had the required blank wall with enough light was in the garage with the door open. We had to do numerous takes. Fortunately, the photos passed inspection but not worth the effort.

Passports Applications At Sheriff's Office

Passports Applications At Sheriff's Office On 466 will take your picture for you and they have the application for you to fill out and they will send it in for you and let you know how long it will be to receive your passport. Unless you need right away don't pay the extra cause you can expect it in 6 weeks by doing the regular way.
And renewals are the same if you send it old passport with renewal they will send old one back with new renewal.

There is only one Passport Office that processes renewals and that is in Philadelphia. They just went to reopening Phase 2 which means slightly better than skeleton staff. Expect current processing times of 3-4 months. Anything else is a gift or mistake.

I did my passport last year. I expedite it , it took less than two weeks but this is before the virus plaque our country. We use the company near the bowling alley. I think it cost me $100 included the pictures . Don’t get me wrong the picture is more professional look than what I get at walgreens. I think you can do you renewal passport at the post office for less price. Just sharing my experienced.

I think $100 is way too much, unless it includes the cost for the passport. The photos should only cost about $10 and you can print the application from the internet for free, fill it out, and mail it in.
