Dam, that’s a lot of hair that’s not grey for an old guy. And now you can’t wear one of those face masks that strap around your ear.

Freedom to choose is more important!

When you are retired living in your paid for dream home, drawing social security and have a pension or investment income that enables you to live very comfortably, it's real easy to ignore how hard it is for the person that has a mortgage/rent, car payment and other living expenses to meet every month. Retirees can easily stay at home and order in their groceries, never having to leave the house. Working people don't have that luxury, they face eviction, loss of their home, car and everything they worked for plus their self esteem. Young people aren't as susceptible to the Corona virus so let them get back to work and get the economy going again. Us old folks can stay at home until a vaccine or an effective treatment has been developed. Your chances of catching the virus are almost non-existent if you stay at home. Until there is a vaccine this virus isn't going away so how long do you think our economy will last waiting for a cure or treatment before we are allowed to live normally? If our economy tanks your pension and investments will likely disappear or be severely reduced.

My thoughts exactly. Here in the Villages where almost every resident is in the high risk group and also where every resident has lived long enough to know that the results of this disaster will be horribly devastating to not only small business but big business and to every single person in this world. It will eventually cause hunger and death and poverty and it is NOT in any way an easily solvable problem. It involves not only immediate loss of income to small businesses but it will have a domino effect and the world will see within a year a devastation of enormous proportions to all people that is far more deadly than the virus.

I am not willing to risk my life. I know I may not live long enough to see the comfortable way of life that most of us have destroyed, but it will happen, no matter what we choose to do in the short term. Sometimes we are faced with unsolvable problems. UNSOLVABLE PROBLEMS. Heartbreaking problems.

YIKES! Gracie... deep breath. It's a BEAUTIFUL day. Take a nice walk and feel the sunshine.

And that is the choice going on right now, economy vs health. Crap shoot, russian roulette, thin the herd or whatever you want to call it, those that are in the service business will depend on us to return to their place of business. If you are imune or just know there is no way you can contract the virus go for it.
