Default Pillsbury cinnamon rolls tube

I am having trouble opening up the tube.. I pull the tab and it only tears a inch away. I can’t get the rest opened. Also having trouble with the biscuits too. I tried opening the ends with a can opener but that was a disaster . Any ideas?

Tear the seat here tab (the red piece) as much as possible. Then bang the middle of the package against the edge of your counter.

I wonder if you are not pulling the entire thickness of the paper off, maybe just a very thin top layer? Because when you pull the red part it should pull off around the entire package. I just opened one of those this morning and had no trouble with it. Maybe try to use the edge of a knife and see if you can pry off a thicker strip of paper? (Once you get that top layer of paper off you can hit the tube on the edge of the counter to pop it open.)

If you read the package the red highlight says “START HERE” and next to that are picture instructions

Once the paper is off, push the edge of a spoon in one of the seams...

No, it's not the red thing. Lift up on the little silver tab and peal it around the tube. I've had the same problem when I first started using those things. Don't feel bad. The instructions are not clear.

Sounds like a man's problem: "Read the instructions first".

Men don’t need instructions. Most have wives to tell us everything.

Has several people said, either bang The edge on the counter or use a large tablespoon and push against the line in the can tube to push it open. Also sometimes I have to use a sharp knife to peel away the tab area to be able to grab a piece of it to pull it up and off the can. You may have better luck using an off brand instead of Pillsbury also

If this is for real, I’ll show you how to do it at the cost of one cinnamon roll!
