Someone said a tip is added to the cost. Is that true with Publix? If not how much to tip?
I checked the prices and I know they are higher for delivery. Also the 3.99 delivery cost is waived if over some relatively small amount ($30?).

I had the same wonderful experience with Publix in The Villages, FL!

Publix Instacart Order Failed

I recently tried the Publix delivery service and it tuned out to be a disaster. They substituted 11 out of 15 items ordered. When they did a substitute item they didn't change the price of the new item they kept the old which in every case was higher than the sub. To top it all off they charged me $53.00 for a package of chicken that weighed 1 pound. I have tried for one week to contact Instacart customer service which has never responded. This is bad news for Publix which has been my favorite grocery store for nine years.

We had a delivery from Publix as well. Seemed all good until I looked at the labels on the pork I ordered. I was charged more that what the label on the meat said. So, beware of that. I do not know how this happened but will try to find out how or why and post that. Also, I joined Instacart Express for the unlimited deliveries. Also have gotten deliveries from Fresh Market that were great.

I signed up for Publix delivery with Instacart. I haven't order anything as of yet. The problem I am encountering is when I research a recipe on line Publix's ads pop up throughout the recipe. As an example if the recipe calls for water I get a blurb about flavored water from Publix and the price. Frustrating to say the least.

We just did an Insta-cart order with Fresh Market last night (made up the order, that is) Because it was our 1st time...the delivery charge was "free". At the end, it said we'd saved $2.00---I'm not sure where that came from but wondered if that was the delivery. Anyway, we ordered our meat and some various other items that I only get there. The tip was included. The delivery time-frame (because of the busy-ness of everyone) was given as Tuesday-Thursday. BUT since we're home in self-quaranteen, this isn't an issue. We'd never done this before so we'll see how it goes. I've tried to log on to the Walmart site but apparently I did something wrong along the way. It wouldn't recognize my logon information, which is puzzling since I've ordered non-grocery items from them in the past. EVERYONE I know that's doing this way of shopping says it's great! So good luck!

Well I also did Instacart from Publix 2 times. First one...great. Just like what u posted. Second delivery...not. The girl put bags on my front porch so close the my door that I couldn’t open it without knocking over the bags. The entire order was someone else’s. Good thing I was there. It was not a good experience.

I don’t use Instacart —I order directly from Publix online

let's remember that the modest tip that is included is very small....the folks that are performing this service aren't making much money.... let's be generous with these folks, they are taking a huge risk for us AND they are willing to work

just saying

I’ve seen that on their page, but couldn’t get it to work for the Publix stores here. Pick-up was available, but not here, at least last time I looked. I use SHIPT most of the time, they deliver for Winn-Dixie as well as Publix. Today’s order is through Instacart from Publix and is scheduled for delivery tonight. Last order had an error, but now with all that’s going on, I click on Do Not Substitute because, well, just because who knows what you’ll get....lol.

Unless you are buying only deli items, how are you ordering online without using Instacart. Not to mention curbside pick-up is not available in this area.

We used Winn Dixie. 14.00 a month and you can stop anytime. These people are doing you a service, of course you tip them. They are out of work, not WD employees. We did not give a percentage as a tip we just gave a nice tip to help her out. She was very thankful.

Instacart delivered our Publix orders,We add a $10.00 tip each time. One time it was delivered by a elderly couple that said they live in TV....kind of risky for that age groupe...

We were pleasantly surprised with some of the substitute items ( with our ok) that we chose, items we most likely would not of tried and were very good.

Publix and Instacart

We placed an order a couple days ago with Publix for delivery by Instacart. We downloaded the Publix app and our shopper offered alternatives as he shopped. We did receive one replacement that we have never tried, hubby is looking forward to that. There were a couple of items not available. Meat was plentiful and fulfilled. I was surprised at that. He called as he was on his way for delivery. He placed all bags in our garage. We added to his meager tip that was automatically applied. Of course having someone else do your grocery shopping is going to add an uncharge to each item, but not much. All in all a great experience. We also wiped down all items before bringing them into our home. Would definitely place another order and with any luck get our same shopper. He was very good, polite, respectful and friendly.

Received ours this morning!

We got our order at 9:30 this morning --- exactly within the hour window they gave me!
We ordered from Shipt. The delivery gentleman was terrific and for any item that I had put in the order that wasn't available....he would text me from Publix and ask if I'd like to substitute and told me what the selection was.
Even my deli order was exactly what I wanted and had it cut the way I had asked!!
I agree with tipping. I left him a tip and a "homemade" bandana mask!
I originally called Publix last week as their website wouldn't let me order directly online from them. They suggested Shipt and Instacart.
Right now pick up from Publix in and close to The Villages is not available.
Would definitely use this service from here on out!
