LOVED the rain, but oh what a dreary, dark and depressing day. I guess I have forgotten what it is like to live in a rainy climate.

We got 1 3/4 inches in Dunedin. Our yard soaked it up like a big ole' sponge. We need a few more like that! Plus it helped knock down the wood smoke smell from whatever fire is going on outside of TV.

We were worried that the rain might flood out the next of the Common Gallinule by the south bridge on the boardwalk at the preserve and had to rush down after the rain to see. Nest was damp but not flooded and mother was still sitting on at least six (some have said there are eight) eggs. She's been on the next for 2 weeks or more so those little guys are due to hatch any time.

I love having a dreary day once in a while. It gives you time to get things done inside.
