The hospitals, urgent care centers, and emergency rooms are way too busy these days dealing with people who are dying from COVID. You want a doctor badly enough, either wear a mask, or pay cash for your visit. |

Stop bullying people about not wearing a mask. You don’t know why they are not wearing one.

I wear a mask when in crowds or when asked to. BUT, stop fooling yourself. Non medical masks will not prevent you from getting the virus. They will help reduce your chances but are not a preventative. Mask mania has taken over and people think wearing a mask will eliminate the virus. Stop the name calling and bullying.

I would imagine most are not wearing a mask because the mask is uncomfortable and hot. Not a good reason if you ask me.

Masks are not to prevent a person from catching the virus. Masks are to reduce the spread of the virus. If two people are wearing masks and are talking to each other, the risk of catching the virus is very low. Add 6 feet between those two people and the risk is even less. Why not minimize the risk? FINALLY our president is advocating wearing a mask. His reason of it being patriotic is not exactly why I wear a mask but it's better than nothing, coming from the leader of the free world. I wear a mask to slow the spread and do my part to get our economy back up and running again.

Absence of Apparent Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 from Two Stylists After Exposure at a Hair Salon with a Universal Face Covering Policy — Springfield, Missouri, May 2020 Among 139 clients exposed to two symptomatic hair stylists with confirmed COVID-19 while both the stylists and the clients wore face masks, no symptomatic secondary cases were reported; among 67 clients tested for SARS-CoV-2, all test results were negative. Adherence to the community’s and company’s face-covering policy likely mitigated spread of SARS-CoV-2. 2 Stylists Had Coronavirus, but Wore Masks. 139 Clients Didn’t Fall Sick. - The New York Times |

I don’t like wearing a mask because it’s hot and a little uncomfortable. It fogs up my glasses. On the plus side I don’t need make up. I always wear my mask and I understand why you may not want to but what in the Cornbread hell causespeople to have total meltdowns when asked to wear a mask. Just dont get it. Just do it...wear the mask.

Refusal to wear a mask when seeking medical or dental treatment...the staff have every right to ask that person to leave the hospital, ER, urgent care center, doctor's office, dentist's office, etc.

Do I like wearing a mask while shopping...not especially. But all the medical professionals I have heard in the past few months have urged people to wear a mask while out in public if social distancing cannot be maintained. That's good enough for me. Do I like wearing a mask to the dentist or doctor's office? Not especially, but I also like to maintain my overall health during this time. Do I like wearing a mask while visiting my 90 year old father...not especially, but I don't want to take the chance that I am asympomatic and could spread the virus to him. Sometimes as adults we just have to "suck it up." Do the grown up thing and put the good of the general public ahead of our personal needs and desires. Kinda like observing the speed limit, stopping at red lights and stop signs. But hey, what do I know, I'm just a sheep, or so I have been told.

I am not anti mask. There is discussion here about the virus being attached to moisture and being trapped by the mask. Most agree that does occur, but what about the virus that is not attached to moisture? I have seem many of the videos showing someone sneezing or coughing with and with out a mask. Yes the mask stopped the moisture which can be seen with the camera, however the virus is far to small to be seen with the camera. So you sneeze and may have the virus trapped on the inside of you mask, but people DO FIDDLE with their mask and thus it gets on their hands and who knows where it goes from there. Who uses a new mask every time? Who disposes of a used mask correctly? Who seals the mask 100% all the way around to allow no moisture to escape? For me the big question, at what point do we stop wearing a mask, when the death rate falls below 1% or when the government says to? Again I am not anti mask, social distancing, hand washing and a good immune system seem to work, masks may work but they may help the spread. Wearing the mask in not that difficult,

Just wear a mask in public. No need for arguments. It's not about your rights. There are more important rights issues than this. Maybe we could not fight over at least this one issue.
