You’re a traitor!!!

LindaMcK 11-20-2020 12:36 PM

Traitor

The difference between Fonda and the other protesters is that Fonda visited the enemy's country. She paraded in front of our servicemen who were being tortured and starved. If she had protested in the USA, she wouldn't have been universally hated.

Drop In The Bucket

“Damage” done by Hanoi Jane, if any, is a drop in the bucket compared to the impact that our elected representatives are having on much of what we have held dear about our democracy and way of life.

If an ordinary citizen would have done what she did they would have been charged with treason and been put in jail. But the rules are different for Hollywood celebrities.

I have a friend who was in the Hanoi Hilton when she visited. She called every thing but a son of man.
She should have been tried for treason.
I was in “Nam” 1968-69

She did drugs?

Jim-Did you fly over NVN while this Treasonous low life was manning an ENEMY AAA gun??? I did and so did many of my cohorts. For you to say this is beyond the pale. I believe I understand you, but you don't realize how much it affected our morale and mental well being. I wonder what you job was in the NAM? S/F George Miske LtCol USMC(ret)

Well, I've just discovered that she is the spokesperson for GREENPEACE, an organization to which I've contributed over the years.

I've just mailed a letter requesting they remove my name from their mailing list, as I will no longer be a contributor to an organization that has a traitor as their spokesperson.

Just putting in my two cents and FYI for those interested.

I hope everyone follows your lead. I don’t care how sorry she is at 80+. She betrayed our country and a lot of guys never got to come home.

Wizie1949 11-20-2020 02:31 PM

I’m hopeful my past mistakes won’t be judged by you. Not as bad as Janes but things I am not proud of just the same, like not joining civil rights peaceful protests I know I have changed over the last 50 years and suspect she has too. Congratulations on having led a sin free life

We lost 623 jet a/c over the North mostly due to a President and Sec Def who had zero brains and let 4400 SAMS into NVN sent by the VIRUS guys from CHINA. Plus the ridiculous rules from the White House that restricted us from hitting certain targets--ie MIG bases, the harbors and even shooting down enemy MIG a/c. Read "Dragon's Jaw" 2019 that finally exposes all the BS we had to put up with. Note--It continued until 2016 when we finally got a real President!

Thank you for your service.

Do not understand politicians who think they know more about fighting a war than the people who were trained to do so.

Actually the American war in Vietnam cost the lives of more than 3.5 million people. We need to remember that Vietnamese, Cambodian and Laotian lives also matter.

Thank you for the info. She is a menace!!

cassjax2 11-20-2020 02:46 PM

Everyone’s life matters. Compartmentalizing people into categories, I think, has caused the problems we have today. Just a thought.....

I remember seeing her picture in NV. Reading the ”Pentagon Papers” in The Boston Globe affected me more 1971.
