JoC....
Congrats on selling...no small feat in this market. Remember, the monthly TOTV luncheon is this Friday, July 18th, 3pm at Crispers. If you're in the area and need a break from house-hunting stop by and say hello (and have lunch!!). Good Luck. |

Good for you. I just know you will find THE house. We were astonished at what was available that didn't make the listings on Villages sites. Go to all of the advertised Open houses. There are at least 16 every day. Eight are new and eight are used homes. We will be there from the 24th until the eighth of next month settling in some more to our April purchase in Hadley. PM me and stop by if you are still there. We will have soothing beverages and a place to sit. Hugs! GracieGirl. Henry and Helene too. |
Re: Rhinebeck, NY
If you plan a road trip to the Hudson Valley make West Point a stop. The Academy is beautiful and overlooks the Hudson River. The military museum is a must see.

Re: Rhinebeck, NY
Yes, NY Vette, how could I forget that!
If there's any way to get tickets to a football game at West Point, it's always impressive - with the marching band, etc. Since 9/11 the security there is much stricter, so I'm not sure if you can drive/walk around as much as we could years ago, but it's still worthwhile. A stay, or a meal, at the historic Thayer Hotel on the grounds is nice as well. http://www.usma.edu/visiting.asp http://www.thethayerhotel.com/dining.html Another stop could be the Brotherhood Winery (America's oldest winery), which has nice tours and special events http://www.brotherhoodwinery.net/pages/ Just allow plenty of time if you visit the area, and if it's in the fall, book things well in advance. ...oh, and post some pictures of your trip! |

If Hubby has a chance to go to RHINEBECK , NY ......Then by all means encourage him to do so..........Real aviators will appreciate what they have there......take in the air show and he'll see SPAD'S , JENNY'S , NEWPORTS and even the Red Barron flying in real dog fights (no bullets of course)........he'll be in heaven........ HOWEVER, If he has never been to OSHKOSH. (airshow is in about two weeks) then he can't call himself an aviator......All aviator's go to Oshkosh and I do mean all...........I have personally met and shaken hands with Chuck Yeager, Pappy Boington, John Lehr , charles Linburg and many many more... Give the guy a break and let him go to mecca (Oshkosh).......He'll love you for it..... Barnstorm'en fumar |
