I started to write about a conversation we had yesterday with a young lady who works in the lab of one of the large hospitals in Leesburg. If you want to find out first hand the truth about COVID talk to someone who works at a hospital. You will get the relief that this virus is not as bad as being reported and angered when you hear the truth. She said every person is swabbed when they walk in the door, takes 10 minutes for results. 2 have tested positive in the last 3 months, zero deaths. Seek the truth.

The key word is "hospitalizations" and that is not what the fear-inducing headlines are about .... of course hospitalizations were of older people who are not working. This is no news - just a sensationalized headline from the lay press.

Don't believe all of the numbers of this so called virus that's reported. Remember it's the media and they only want us to believe what they report.

Well said. I agree 100 percent with you. Don't run our lives. Stick to taking care of your states which some are really lacking.

No nursing homes in that number. There was a separate category for that

Lack of governors direction? What? We are talking about a guy that has been honest, direct, allowed doctors, scientists and health professionals to bring facts to the public, and in many cases delivered tough news with empathy. I have been impressed with his candor and level of concern.

Default Died at home.

What NY is not saying any one that died at home will be considered to have died from the corona virus. No testing, no autopsy no proof. It's all about the money. Once cities and states were getting funding for each corona virus case and money for using a ventilators, I stopped believing the numbers. The mayor of NY added 3700 deaths to the list from the virus.

Staying home.....a very relative term.
To those of us in TV staying home is in our house.
Ditto for locations with single family dwellings.

Staying home in NYC very well means in a multi floor, multi family apartment/condo type building.

Totally different exposure profiles.

We were supposed to stay home until the curve flattened. That happened in most places weeks ago

Retired means that they are old (like we in the Villages). Unemployed means that they have above-average stress or underlying conditions. 50% of total deaths are in the 75 plus age group. Those are some factors and there could be others.

I agree density is a big factor. There are many, many.

Think about the spread in nursing homes, prisons, ships, and multifamily households. Your viewers need to know it’s more than just washing hands.

Governor Cuomo talked about 66% Covid-19 admissions are from people who stayed home. New Yorkers live in close quarters and in apartment buildings that share plumbing supply lines. Covid-19 fecal fume transmission makes sense.

Bloomberg article explains transmission.

"novel coronavirus is shed in the feces of infected people"

"...microbes...are inhaled"

"live virus particles in stool specimens indicates a fecal-oral route for coronavirus, which may be why it’s caused outbreaks on cruise ships...Diamond Princess..."

Here is a presentation that identifies the oral-fecal method of transmission.

The inhaled virus-laden fecal plume transmission must be told! You can handle it.

Hey, stay out of public restrooms!
There is a joke in the "fecal virus-laden aerosol plumes" that Butthead and Beaves could exploit. Or a possible weapon for a spy agency? But, seriously it is a possible factor and something further to watch out for and worry about. Good info.
