How do you know this? News to me.

Not everything is better in The villages, please don't come to Leesburg for the movies and start crowding us out, sorry you can't get to here with the golf carts. Ha ha

Agree that anything done by Spielberg has to be brilliant! Agree too that this scene is a hoot.

However, for the sake of accuracy, Spanish Harlem is further uptown and on the East Side.

West Side Story takes place, well, on the West Side, from the 30s up to 59th Street, and from Eighth Avenue west to the Hudson River, in an area known as 'Hell's Kitchen.'

However, they filmed much of the original in East Harlem, which is also known as Spanish Harlem.

The movie? OMG........so absolutely FANTASTIC!!! Spielberg is the master.

They're still showing this in movie theaters? Maybe in areas where there is a "target audience". You must have a lot of free time on your hands to go see the same movie in two different locations on consecutive days!

Can you elaborate on closing the movie theaters in TV.

The original was fabulous. I am not going to see this since I have heard it is "woke". Done supporting all this stupid Hollywood woke culture. BTW, I speak Spanish.

There was maybe 10 minutes of Spanish in the movie but wished they would have included subtitles.

Excellent movie

Two years ago the theaters in The Villages were selling out. The crowds were enormous, especially on weekends and rainy days. Now the developer uses covid as an excuse to close one theater, not reopen another theater, and under service the last remaining theater. The developer also used covid as an excuse to close Katie Belles. And whatever happened to the annual golf show on the polo grounds? It's no wonder the developer is considered by many to be an adversary and a greedy one at that!

Covid was never an excuse to close Katie Belles. Covid did cause theaters to close, nationwide. Our (once very busy) theater near our home in MD has permanently closed.

The golf show was cancelled due to covid for one year. The next year (again, due to covid) they did a scaled down version, over several weeks. They are doing the same (but bigger version) this year, which is probably costing them MORE money to put on...

Where did you get the impression the movie is not in English?

I haven't heard that. I sincerely doubt that though.
