My dad retired from the City of St. Petersburg in 1983 and my parents moved to Spring Hill for retirement. They bought one of the first homes in Timber Pines and lived there until 1998. Timber Pines is a beautiful gated retirement community that built out about 15 years ago with 3,200 homes on 2.4 square miles completely walled in with three golf courses. For anyone looking for a resale masonry single family home with a two car garage in the low 100's with really free golf, then go to Spring Hill and check out Timber Pines. It was going to be my first choice until I visited The Villages. Sink holes never entered my consideration, there are too many other factors in life than to think about something you have no control over.
