Default Streaming services HELP

In June we signed up with direct tv now and were getting abc, nbc and cbs. Now we don’t get abc nbc or cbs. They said its not available because it’s based on the billing address of the credit card which is Cleveland ohio.
What’s your experience with a streaming service? Who would you recommend? Is it true that the service is based on the billing address of your credit card?

Never heard the billing address thing, but never used DirectTV.

We purchased an antenna at Best Buy for $100 and we get a dozen channels (we get close to 40 channels, but not all in English).

We do have internet, so we use Roku for streaming.

We are enjoying this set-up.

I am using Morpheus for on demand movies and tv. It is a free app and service. For live tv check out Magic TV. $25 a month for up to 4 TV's. You may have to purchase a mag box if you don't have smart TV's. I am currently using a roof top antenna for all local channels and have been very happy with it.

Directv Now Location
Local channel availability is based on your billing ZIP Code and market area. To learn more about local channels in your area, including Regional Sports Networks, check out the Channel Lookup Tool.

While at home, stream the local channels available in your market. Traveling to another city? No problem – you can still watch your local channels.

Heads up: Make sure you enable location services on your mobile device so you can stream.

Change your billing address.

I would use YouTube TV. Sign up with your Villages address and it is easy to update when you travel......

If you are watching from a location other than your billing address, you have to change your local affiliates (CBS, NBC, ETC). Direct TV now seems to have buffering problems for some - it is a complaint I read about all the time. The best streaming services IMO are YouTube TV and PlayStation Vue. I use PlayStation Vue since it works on both Roku and Amazon Fire. And it doesn't block your recordings on the locals, like it does on some YouTube TV feeds. That forces you to watch the "On Demand" versions, and you can't FF through the commercials. There are other streaming services as well - take their free trials and compare.

Try changing the local ZIP Code in the settings of your streaming device. I use DirecTV Now on Fire TV Sticks and I do this on my Fire TV Sticks in Massachusetts. It works for me.

Thanks for your replies. I’m going to follow some of your recommendations.
