No car is perfect, but in the rare event of Lithium Battery Punctures, the way Tesla has designed it, if anything happens at all. It would be a slow fire. Unlike Internal Combustion Vehicles where you would have instant fire/explosion. And The NHTSA just rated Tesla’s Vehicles #1,2&3 as the lowest probability of injury for mass produced vehicles in the history of mankind. There are thousands of deaths every day thanks to ICE Vehicles, there’s been only about a dozen Fatalities in 10 years with Tesla. So if it’s safety your concerned with, there’s no reason to wait.

I wonder how many fire departments have been trained in electrical fire/collision damage to these electric vehicles.

Here are some Tesla's in flames... to me they look just like gasoline cars when they go up in flames.

NHSTA replied to the way Tesla used the data that that NHSTA uses for it's star ratings. NHSTA clearly said they did not rate Tesla as the safest car ever made.

They gave it a 5 star rating, which is still very good but no better than any other car that gets a 5 start rating.

Even more of a question. What do you do after the warranty runs out. https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...Oqcg7xlEzJOY_8

There are Tesla approved body and service shops in the Orlando and Tampa/Sarasota areas, which is a about the same distance you would have to go for some other “high end” cars for factory approved and warranty repairs.

Same place I take my battery powered lawnmower when the warranty runs out. When Tesla dies where do you dispose of highly corrosive batteries? And they will die one day and I bet the replacements cost is $$,$$$. But, I bet who ever buys one will get rid of it before the warranty runs out? Just like they do their previous high end vehicles?

I predict the house of cards for tesla before the fat lady sings !!!! Nobody has broken the holy grail of batteries. Getting better but a long ways to go.
