We’ve been using a bidet for about fourteen years now. I can’t say enough good things about it. We got the kind you replace the toilet seat for and plug into at the back. (I would use an electrician to install the plug)

I think the appeal may be that the look reminds older generation folks (a demographic that may be able to afford this) of an outhouse bench.
