Thanks Tal for the run down of dates.

You are welcome. I did not see any holidays coming up for quite some time. Another Good Friday in 2019 on the 3rd Friday of April just before Easter April 21, 2019. http://www.timeanddate.com/calendar/...2019&country=1 Even if "Good Friday" is not an official holiday, just wanted to mention it.

Okay I'll be there. But make sure we have bread, wine, and I'll bring a fish (maybe) that way I may be able to perform a miracle. Amen! It's just a suggestion. Geesh. ::)

Hi Tal,

We have company so I haven't been keeping up with the various chats. I was going to post what you posted about the dates. Thanks for doing it.

As for my own personal feelings, I think I lean more toward changing a date if it falls on an important religious holiday. We would not be the first organization to make that change. I have seen it happen many times. According to Tal's posting we are talking about one month out of about 24 months.

The reason I am leaning toward changing the date is because 1. it is very important to some of the members and 2. respecting their feelings.

What I feel good about is the dialogue about this. People have voiced their feelings and I do not recall anyone saying they will never attend this meeting if they do not get their way. This is a true forum discussion.

In upstate NY where I live we have alternative dates for many meetings, not due to religious holidays, but because of weather. Everyone accepts these change of dates as just being part of life.

Just my thoughts.

You are welcome, Hyacinth Bucket.

Think we should stick to the original plan of the 3rd Friday of each month for the luncheons. Not sure who made this plan, but it will conflict with some people's schedules no matter on which day we have the TOTV meetings. I had to leave the Villages Computer Club Friday February 15, 2008 meeting early to insure that I made it to Crispers by 3:00 pm.

Thanks for the list of dates. Missed the last meeting even though we were in TV but we had a delivery coming between 3-5:00 - maybe next time we are down. Last week of March for us so I'll miss it once again. Meet all of you soon.

OK, maybe this is not on track, but being of the feline persuasion, I just want to comment on the beautiful canines I am seeing here. Beady, Dicky, woof. Beautiful! :-*

p.s. Can anyone tell I'm missing having a dog???
