Default A Touching Moment

I was standing in line at the register today at WalMart and there was a man in one of the riding carts in the line next to me. He was wearing a Vietnam Veteran baseball cap. A man who had just entered the store walked over to him, shook his hand and said "Thank you for your service". I have never seen this done before and I was so choked up, I couldn't speak and tears welled up in my eyes. What a beautiful gesture. When I finished checking out, I was fortunate to catch up with this Veteran as he waited for his wife to get the car. I would say he was about my age and we had a very nice conversation and I felt honored to talk with him. I've mentioned on this site before - go to www.anysoldier.com - click on where to send, read the emails, request an address and write someone a letter. They are thousands of miles away from home. He told me how much mail is appreciated.
