Thank you for all of your responses.
I have given up the idea as we had one in Tampa with little use.
Just the logistics make it not worth it.

Having hip problems so I didn’t want to walk outside but I think
I will try that first.

Enjoyed your responses!

I have Precor and it is 240 lb. Needs a professional just to move it. It has to be heavy to give stability, I guess. But after my accident years ago it brought me back to health. If you get the treadmill from a fitness store they will instal and put it where you want it. My experience with treadmills is that one does not use the cheap ones often for many reasons but when you have the high end, therapeutic, kind to the joints, type, you use it every day. It sits there looking at you... kind of invitingly.

Are there places to buy them and possibly assemble them for you?
Thanks.
Try walking and getting fresh air. Treadmills tend to become a clothes hanger. I've seen enough of that to not buy one. Save your money and get comfortable walking shoes. I wear my Garmin tracker and I map out several walking routes to break the routine. It has worked very well for my wife and me. Try it before you plunk down the money. You may be pleasantly surprised

My wife has learned to ignore the treadmill. Sigh

We have a recumbent bike set up in front of the TV in the lanai. Hubby uses it often.

I prefer to do ‘walking tours’ using free YouTube videos. I just pop on my music and pick a place to explore like the Vegas Strip, Hawaii, Disney etc and start walking. I also love ‘Just Dance’ for Nintendo Switch.

I bought one for the same reason. Go to Play it Again Sports in Ocala. They assemble it in their store or in your home for free. Delivery was also free (up to 25 miles).

Costco or Divks Sporting Goods. They will deliver and set up for you. We walk outside and use our treadmill every day. It's great for the hot or rainy days and it's a bit more forgiving...so isn't as hard on your back/body as walking on the pavement. Contributes to healthy habits for sure. Good luck! ✌

I purchased a Nordictrack treadmill during this virus and I love it. I highly recommend a model that accommodates the IFit program. IFit trainers will take you on hundreds of walks, hikes, etc throughout the world and will keep you motivated along the way in the comfort of your air conditioned home. I have had treadmills/ellipticals in the past and because of the programs, I am finding that I am not procrastinating like I have in the past. There are even Comedy walks!! As with any exercise you have to force yourself to use the machine for 2-3 weeks.....but then it becomes part of your day and you make time for it because you start seeing results. Also the Nordictrack is very well built and the belt is on a suspension so that it is less stressful on you joints

It is very safe at the gyms. The equipment is cleaned constantly. We've been back since they re-opened in July. No problems.

Exactly. Why would anyone want to run inside when they can go outside and enjoy beautiful weather?

You can order a relatively inexpensive but good treadmill here and pay extra to arrange for delivery and assembly Horizon Fitness

I had one in Illinois and wish I could fit it here in Florida. I love to watch Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. while getting my walking in each day.

If you desire a higher end treadmill, I’m sure you can do the same with those companies, like True, etc. I’ve had treadmills most of my adult life and it’s helpful for fighting the weight. They key to consistency for me has been using an iPad or tv to stay entertained while I walk. Sometimes I take slower walks and read while I walk which is also very enjoyable.

Why do you need a treadmill in Florida? Just walk outside on the trails. Waking on the trails is better for your body than walking on a treadmill. You can walk outside when it’s not too hot or humid. In the snow belt states, it’s miserable to walk outside on the trails for six months during the long, cold, snowy, and icy winters.

I thought I'd love my treadmill while watching TV. Pain in the butt to get rid of!
