Just in case you didn't think we had a problem.. We just passed Italy and China in confirmed cases.

NY ignored the issue too long and now they are "paying for it."

The NY area is over 1/2 of the USA cases and they are 10 times the next state.

We do have a huge number of medical professionals to deal with this crisis. We should help them out by social distancing as much as possible so we do not get them sick as well. They do have to do grocery shopping, walk their dogs and like just like non medically trained people.

One of my dog park friends works in one of the hospitals near the Villages Regional Hospital.

The sad part of this for me is PPE should be readily available for all of us but it seems the mighty USA can't even get masks to their hospitals. Early on a number of "experts" said wearing an N95 mask would not help curb transmission of the virus, bull!!!!. It is costing thousands of dollars to treat a single person with this virus while these masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer cost almost nothing. Everyone going into a grocery store or working in a store should be wearing at least a N95 mask and gloves but none are available. I know we Americans think we are a lot more intelligent than the Chinese, Koreans, and Japanese but I can't help notice they are all wearing masks and gloves. But cheer up the stock market rallied today with record unemployment claims and there are a million checks going out to everyone who can vote, maybe we can attach a couple rubber bands on them and use them for a mask. Thank you for letting me vent.

We had dramatically more warning, more time, and better health care infrastructure than China. Our total failure to get this under control despite that is a matter of great concern.

3 weeks ago Mayor Deblasio was urging New Yorkers to go out on the town.

Actually the report is that the US has the most REPORTED cases. It is highly likely that China (for instance) had many unreported cases. The US has been aggressive in testing for COVID19 and that drove the number up. Good information to have but it should not be used purely as a measure of our response - or lack of.

The statistics would be more useful and meaningful if the number of cases was reported as a percentage of the population.

RUN, LIE, DENY. It's time for all the N.Y. Officials to take cover, point fingers and accuse others and perform magic by letting X amount of New Yorkers escape so the have less people to treat. It's really not time to get down on any of these fools. Less people for them to treat while they let their own citizens infect people all over the country. News Conferences to cry about Equipment they could have bought and didn't while people who are possibly infected leaked outta town

The time is now to get the supplies, the Medical Ship and the proper equipment in the proper place. Did you see the pictures on all news channels tonight where they cruised thru the Subway and Central Park? Pictures of Time Square empty. Unbelievable. God Help The Citizens and Healthcare people all over our country but for now especially where they have been failed by the local people they hired. The Facts have been said already. Go out and eat don't worry, IDIOT!

Enter the Spin Doctors.
