Jeffy:

Sorry, not cruising until later in the month.

Just wanted to be sure that you know that there are motorcoach connections available, which can be purchased through the cruise line. I think that for my last cruise this was a mere $65 roundtrip.

Cruise Connection operates the coaches. Leave from the McDonald's across 27/441 from the Wal-Mart at 6:40am, arrive Port Everglades a bit after noon.
Return usually gets back to McDonald's just after 4:00pm, but their schedule says closer to 6:00pm.

It's an easy way to go. I believe parking at the port is now just about $15 a day, so a seven-day cruise would probably cost $120 (you'd undoubtedly run up an eight-day fee), whereas two round trips by coach would only be $130. And, no hassles of driving!

Default cruise connection

cruised two weeks ago out of miami, took cruise connection bus from mcdonalds on 441. price was $76 per person. they were prompt, and you got there feeling refreshed and ready to cruise. if you do drive down and have a handicapped placard, parking is free

Yes, we have cruised out of Ft Laud before and know the parking is a little over $110 for the week, That is why I was looking for someone to carpool. I knew about the buses , but the problem is that you have to wait for them to get there and drop off the new cruisers , hence you dont get home till late in the afternoon. If you have your own car,(and can handle your own baggage) you are the first ones off the ship at about 7:00 am. The parking garage is literally 50 feet from debarkation. You miss most of the hassle of crowded debarkation, and get home before noon.

So between parking and gas , it is about a wash between driving and the bus. Driving just seems a little more convenient.
